Amman is Jordan's primate city and is the largest city in the Levant region, the fifth-largest city in the Arab world, and the tenth-largest metropolitan area in the Middle East.

A historic and archaeological city in south. Famous for its rock-cut architecture and water conduit system, also called the "Rose City" because of the color of the sandstone from which it is carved.

It has attracted visitors from around the Mediterranean Basin for thousands of years and was one of the world's first health resorts, and it has been the supplier of a wide variety of products, from asphalt for Egyptian  mummification.
